Designs, prototypes, and tests firmware subsystems per defined requirements and architecture. Develops verification test plans and procedures. Documents firmware thoroughly and creates user manuals. Participate in all areas of development (brainstorming, test fixture design, hardware reviews).</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>Responsibilities:</h2><ul><li>Aid customers, both internal and external, to identify product requirements and potential solutions</li><li>Develop software and firmware product architectures to meet product requirements</li><li>Produce software design, implementation, and subsystem integration</li><li>Produce appropriate documentation in support of the development effort</li><li>Participate in architecture, code, and documentation reviews</li><li>Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure proper design choices for processors</li><li>Utilize compilers, code management systems, emulators, simulators, etc.</li><li>Plan and perform software verification and validation and record the results</li><li>Support defect tracking and resolution</li><li>Support established goals to achieve quality objectives</li><li>Follow and contribute to develop software development` procedures and quality system</li><li>Support internal production team</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><h1>Qualifications</h1><ul><li>BSEE, BSCE, BSCS or equivalent</li><li>Minimum 4 years of experience in related field&nbsp;</li><li>Primary programming language proficiency with C and C++</li><li>Secondary programming language proficiency C# and Python</li><li>Ability to read and comprehend circuit diagrams&nbsp;</li><li>Expertise in software development for embedded systems</li><li>Proficiency in interfaces, integration, low level peripheral, and IO configuration</li><li>Proficiency with product requirements documentation and design verification testing</li><li>Familiarity with ARM and AVR processors</li><li>Version control systems (Git, SVN)</li><li>Strong reading comprehension for datasheets and manuals</li><li>Superior communication, planning and problem-solving skills</li><li>Thrive in an environment where you are working on multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Be self-motivated to set and meet aggressive goals without constant supervision</li><li>Meticulous attention to quality, correctness, and documentation</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><h1>Preferred Qualifications</h1><ul><li>Experience with FreeRTOS and QT framework</li><li>IoT development</li><li>GUI and UX design</li><li>Schematic and PCB design</li><li>Experience with Python, C#</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The Company is an equal opportunity employer.
