Our bridge teams collaborate nationwide to design and build innovative structures that serve as the backbone of our nation’s infrastructure for the millions of people who safely travel across them each day.</p>\n<p><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></p>\n<p>Michael Baker International is actively seeking an <strong>Entry Level Bridge Inspection Associate</strong> to join our Waltham team. The position includes inspection, reporting, manual development, load rating, and rehabilitation design of bridges and tunnels throughout Massachusetts and nationwide. This position offers a dynamic schedule with a mix of on-site field work and office/work-from-home.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will assist nationally certified bridge and tunnel inspection team leaders in performing safety inspections of in-service structures and produce inspection reports following Federal Highway Administration National Bridge and Tunnel Inspection Standards. In addition, the successful candidate will assist in producing load ratings, rehabilitation recommendations and design as assigned. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>What You Need to Succeed:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field; degree from an ABET-accredited university or college.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>0 - 2 years of experience with a focus on bridges or structures.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates a personal commitment to quality, and accuracy.</li>\n <li>Ability to prepare quantity calculations.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and other contract documents.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a DOT Medical Certificate.</li>\n <li>Able to work in loud environments, heights, and confined spaces. Work is performed from the ground, ladders, boats, man-lifts, or under bridge inspection equipment.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Commitment to personal safety and the safety of their fellow team members.</li>\n <li>Use of hand tools, ladders, and other equipment necessary.</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively document and communicate observed conditions using sound engineering judgement.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word, ect.), AutoCAD and BlueBeam.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently upon receiving direction and technical guidance from senior staff.</li>\n <li>Enthusiastic towards helping address some of our nation’s most critical infrastructure challenges while building the future of our organization!</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months, preferred&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Previous experience with the inspection, load rating or design of bridges and or/tunnels.</li>\n <li>Experience with AASHTOware BrR, StAAD Pro, MDX, CSI Bridge, MathCAD, and other structural analysis software.</li>\n <li>Taken the FHWA/NHI Bridge and/or Tunnel Safety Inspection courses.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p>\n<p>The approximate compensation range for this position is $74,720-$80,000. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.&nbsp; Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.</p>",
