Consults and seeks out guidance from RN and/or other healthcare team members, as appropriate and when completing new or unfamiliar tasks or duties.</li>\n <li>Tasks include but are not limited to: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Activities of Daily Living</li>\n   <li>Answering patient call lights</li>\n   <li>Assisting with simple procedures defined in the work area</li>\n   <li>Taking and recording vital signs and weights</li>\n   <li>Transporting patients, equipment, supplies, and specimens</li>\n   <li>Assists in maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment</li>\n   <li>Obtains, records and/or accurately enters data into the EMR. Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient’s care.</li>\n   <li>Verbally presents factual, concise, and timely information and/or patient care data to the RN, the healthcare team, patients and/or family members in a professional manner.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Enrolled in a formal BSN or ADN nursing program to include completion of introductory clinical nursing course with clinical component.</p><p><em>Team members within UPH-DM may remain in Student Nurse tech role for up to 6-months after passing the board and achieving RN license.</em></p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>License(s)/Certification(s): </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must possess and maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or obtain certification within three months from date of hire.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Completion of 1 RN clinical rotation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Level 3 Medium Work:  Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.</li>\n</ul>",
