If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in correctional counseling, we want you on our team!</p>\n<p><strong>What you'll do:&nbsp;</strong>You'll report to the Program Director / Lead Therapist. Responsible for conducting assessments and providing treatment, i.e., classroom work, assigning homework, group therapy and individual therapy to sex offenders in compliance with MTC and customer directives.</p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments using the approved assessment tool to include psychological tests, clinical interviews and other techniques designed to define treatment goals and strategies for inmates.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Design a specific treatment plan for inmates, based on their specific needs, risk factors and current assessment, incorporating learning objectives and objective standards from the sex offender treatment curriculum.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Conduct group counseling and individual counseling as appropriate based on treatment goals outlined during the initial assessment.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Demonstrate to others the rationale for interventions provided and key decisions made throughout the course of treatment.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Regularly evaluate inmates’ progress and complete a monthly progress report.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provide recommendations for successful completion of the program.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Design a post-treatment plan with inmates to prepare for release and reintegration into the community.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Complete a Treatment Summary prior to the inmates’ release.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Maintain accountability of staff, inmates, and property; adhere to safety practices.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p>Master’s degree in counseling or related field and, at minimum, a New Mexico Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC – active or temporary), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) licensure required. License-eligible and new graduate candidates considered. Valid driver's license in the state of New Mexico or the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Management &amp; Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
