          "text": "<p><strong>Shift:&#xa0; </strong>Monday - Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm</p><p><em>The role of large shapes specialist is to operate hand-controlled mechanisms to pour and regulate the flow of refractory into molds.&#xa0; Facilitate the safe and efficient preparation, mixing, casting, firing and finishing of refractory shapes.&#xa0; Complete work orders to build products of optimal quality with on-time delivery.&#xa0;</em></p><p><strong>What you'll be doing:</strong></p><ul><li>Correctly determine required raw materials, supplies, tools, and equipment needed to create refractory shapes.</li><li>Precisely measure mold(s) to verify quality and dimensional accuracy in accordance with drawing specifications; identify molds that are out of tolerance take appropriate action(s).</li><li>Thoroughly examine molds to ensure they are clean, smooth, and properly coated.</li><li>Evaluate the quality of raw materials based on pre-determined standards.</li><li>Measure amounts, temperatures, and characteristics of ingredients, and mix to prescribed recipe to ensure accuracy and uniformity.</li><li>Cast refractory using casting equipment, including vibrators and mounting apparatus.</li><li>Perform QC (Quality control) procedures, such as grinding and finishing, to ensure part(s) meet the defined quality criteria.</li><li>Inspect shape(s) for part strength and integrity, and surface quality and dimensional accuracy discrepancies.</li><li>Safely operate cranes, fork trucks, overhead crane, and electric pallet jack.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Maintain required department records (i.e., related paperwork and computer transactions), as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Why work for Pyrotek Cortland?&#xa0; Check out our video!</strong></p><p>Click the&#xa0;<strong>I'm Interested&#xa0;</strong>button so our hiring team can review your application and schedule time to speak with you soon!&#xa0;</p><p><strong>What happens next?&#xa0;</strong>&#xa0;Once you submit your application / resume, a member of the recruiting team will send you an email with a self-schedule link to speak with one of our Recruiters.&#xa0;&#xa0;<strong>Watch your email for that link!&#xa0;&#xa0;</strong></p>",

          "text": "<p><strong>What we are looking for:</strong></p><p>High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) / Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC).</p><p>Prior experience in one or more of the following areas – mixing, casting, firing, finishing refractory shapes or concrete, preferred.</p><p><strong>Technical/Mechanical Skills.</strong>&#xa0; Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and work orders, and follow directions to determine required materials, supplies, tools, and equipment needed to mold shapes. Ability to use hand operated and power tools, and perform tasks with precision and manual dexterity.&#xa0; Working knowledge of spatial reasoning, cause and effect, heat conduction, velocity, gravity, and force.&#xa0; Basic mechanical and mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), and ability to apply form of measurement and other work material calculations utilizing a calculator. Ability to obtain and maintain industrial equipment certifications (e.g., cranes, forklift, and power jack).&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Physical/Sensory Requirements</strong></p><p><em>The following physical activities described here are representative of those required by a Team Member to perform the essential functions of this position. Frequently lift and/or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally team lift, maneuver/handle material weighing up to 75 pounds. Communicate effectively in English by telephone, in person and in writing. Effectively use a personal computer, basic calculator, and telephone. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.</p><p><strong>Working Environment</strong></p><p>While performing the essential responsibilities of this position, Team Member generally will work in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.&#xa0; Periodic exposure to outdoor environment through open doors.
