The incumbent should understand and demonstrate proactive maintenance concepts and employ best maintenance practices. This position is expected to have a significant impact on improvements in run time efficiency.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Compete assigned work orders and checklists for the day, and document work performed using the internal documentation process.</li>\n <li>Rapidly respond to urgent (prioity1) calls to address issues in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot to Identify electrical and mechanical issues by using test equipment (meters, meggers, strobe lights, etc.) and repair issues with all equipment (production, facilities, auxiliary, etc.)</li>\n <li>Servicing of electrical equipment including AC and DC drives, PLCs, and their associated control networks and I/O.</li>\n <li>Create and process urgent work orders when assigned.</li>\n <li>Attend daily assigned meetings to assist in identifying priorities for the day.</li>\n <li>Assist in Root Cause Analysis when involved in the associated failure.</li>\n <li>Repair and/or replace defective electrical or mechanical equipment.</li>\n <li>Assist in identifying parts for repairs.</li>\n <li>Assist in the installation of new equipment and equipment modification projects.</li>\n <li>Document all modifications made to equipment during repairs (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, etc.).</li>\n <li>Work overtime as needed for critical jobs or breakdown situations.</li>\n <li>Abide by Glatfelter Mount Holly standards.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or GED required.</li>\n <li>Ability to work flexible 12-hour shifts (night shifts) following a 14-day pattern of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and then 3 off.</li>\n <li>2 years Maintenance work experience in a manufacturing environment required.</li>\n <li>2 year Technical degree is related area is preferred.</li>\n <li>Basic understanding of electrical knowledge is preferred.</li>\n <li>Basic electrical/electronic circuit knowledge.</li>\n <li>Understanding of paper waste recovery, baler, and cyclone system preferred.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of motor control systems, PLCs, and communications systems.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of relay and ladder logic.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of production and support equipment.</li>\n <li>Ability to read prints, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.</li>\n <li>Machine roller and component rigging for overhead crane use.</li>\n <li>Safe working knowledge on use of shop tools including lathe, mill, press, welder, and saws.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.</li>\n <li>Computer competency including email and Microsoft office.</li>\n <li>Must be detail oriented.</li>\n <li>Ability to work well under pressure independently and as part of a team.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#MT07302025</p>",
