This leader manages yard flow, staffing, customer communication, and regulatory compliance to keep the Jacksonville facility running at peak performance.</p>\n<p>This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a <strong>fast-paced, 24/7 intermodal environment</strong>—someone who’s not afraid to be out in the field, leading from the ground up, ensuring operations run smoothly and safely.</p>\n<p>The Intermodal Operations Supervisor will oversee the movement, staging, and dispatching of containers and trailers, ensuring all activities align with company standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols. This individual plays a key role in maintaining workflow integrity, minimizing delays, and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>\n<h4><strong>Operational Oversight</strong></h4>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Supervise all inbound/outbound container activity and yard operations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain accurate equipment inventories, gate logs, and system updates.</p></li>\n <li><p>Monitor activity in real time, identify delays, and coordinate dispatch needs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Enforce all safety standards and comply with DOT, OSHA, and company regulations.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h4><strong>Team Leadership</strong></h4>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Lead, train, and support clerks, spotters, and yard personnel.</p></li>\n <li><p>Assign tasks, create schedules, and ensure team accountability.</p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct performance reviews and reinforce a strong safety-first culture.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h4><strong>Customer & Partner Coordination</strong></h4>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Serve as the primary onsite contact for customers, drivers, rail partners, and drayage carriers.</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide timely service updates and professional communication.</p></li>\n <li><p>Resolve service issues quickly and effectively.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h4><strong>Reporting & Compliance</strong></h4>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Review daily operational reports, load statuses, and system entries.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, audits, and company SOPs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Identify operational gaps and implement improvement strategies.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>2+ years of intermodal, logistics, or transportation operations experience.</p></li>\n <li><p>Supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.</p></li>\n <li><p>Solid understanding of container handling, drayage processes, and rail operations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to work flexible hours based on operational needs.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.</p></li>\n   <li><p>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely navigate yard and rail environments.</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>",
