Description
Are you ready to help shape the future of infrastructure in New Zealand?
Crown Infrastructure Delivery (CID) is seeking a proactive Project Controls Specialist to drive risk management and robust controls across high-impact government infrastructure and construction projects.
Who We Are
CID is a Crown-owned company delivering complex infrastructure and property projects across New Zealand. We work with government agencies to manage procurement, design and delivery, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget and deliver lasting value.
At CID, you’ll join a collaborative, forward-thinking team committed to excellence. We offer flexible working, professional development and the chance to make a real impact.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with clients, Programme Delivery teams, and the Project Support Office (PSO) to:
Lead the development and maintenance of risk registers and mitigation strategies
Facilitate structured risk workshops, guiding stakeholders to identify, assess, and prioritise key risks and opportunities
Support project governance with accurate, timely reporting on risk exposure and project performance
Contribute to planning, scheduling, and resource forecasting to keep projects on track
Ensure project documentation and controls meet organisational standards
Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders to support robust and transparent decision-making
What You’ll Bring
Strong background in risk management within complex projects or programmes
Proven experience facilitating risk workshops and engaging diverse stakeholder groups
Experience with project controls tools and methodologies (e.g., scheduling, cost tracking, risk analysis)
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders
Ability to translate complex risk and scheduling data into clear insights for stakeholders
Sound judgement and a measured, confident approach when navigating project challenges and uncertainty
Why join us?
You’ll be part of a team that values proactive thinking, continuous improvement, and delivering projects that make a difference. If you’re passionate about risk management and project success, we’d love to hear from you.
