We welcome dedicated educators who are committed to student learning, professional excellence, and supporting our mission of providing a values‑based education in the Mercy tradition.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Responsibilities<br>Adjunct faculty may be assigned lecture or lab courses in areas such as:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Exercise Physiology</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Kinesiology &amp; Biomechanics</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strength and Conditioning</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Anatomy &amp; Physiology (with lab, as appropriate)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Motor Behavior / Motor Learning</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Fitness Assessment &amp; Exercise Prescription</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Health Promotion &amp; Wellness</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Additional responsibilities include:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Preparing course materials, syllabi, assessments, and lab activities aligned with departmental standards</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Teaching in face‑to‑face or hybrid modalities, depending on departmental need</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Providing timely, formative, and summative feedback to students</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintaining accurate academic records, attendance, and grades</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Supporting an inclusive, student‑centered learning environment</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborating with program faculty to ensure curricular consistency and accreditation standards</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum Qualifications</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Master&rsquo;s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or a closely related field</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrated content knowledge in assigned teaching areas</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Commitment to the mission and values of Misericordia University</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Preferred Qualifications</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collegiate teaching experience (lecture and/or lab)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Relevant clinical or professional experience in exercise science, fitness, or health‑related fields</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Professional certifications (e.g., ACSM‑EP, ACSM‑CEP, NSCA‑CSCS, NASM, ACE)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard) and technology‑enhanced instruction</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience supervising undergraduate research or applied projects</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Application Materials Required</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Cover letter describing teaching interests and availability</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Curriculum vitae or r&eacute;sum&eacute;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Contact information for three references</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Unofficial transcripts (official transcripts required upon hire)</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Misericordia University, a vibrant community founded in 1924 by the Sisters of Mercy!
