Come practice at the top of your license and join a team committed to leadership in anesthesia care.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Facility:</strong> Baptist Memorial Hospital-Yazoo is a 25-bed critical access hospital offering professional and compassionate health care to our community, not just for today, but for a lifetime. We offer inpatient, outpatient and advanced diagnostic services to help enhance the quality of life for families in Yazoo County and surrounding areas. Working together, the physicians and medical team at Baptist Yazoo provide compassionate care for our community.  Baptist Yazoo also offers specialty clinics in cardiology, general surgery, cataract and eye surgery, pain management, gastrointestinal (GI)/endoscopy, orthopedics and wound care. Baptist Yazoo also operates two family medical clinics, a primary care clinic, an outpatient physical and rehabilitation center and a geriatric day program.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Call:</strong> No call is required</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> 7a-3p, 2-4 days per month as needed</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits: </strong>Benefits are available to employees working 30 or more hours weekly. Come join a team committed to provider growth and continuing innovation in anesthesia!</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Clinical Duties</strong></p>\n<p>The CRNA scope of practice includes, but is not limited to, the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performing and documenting a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient, including requesting consultations and diagnostic studies; selecting, obtaining, ordering, or administering pre-anesthetic medications and fluids; and obtaining informed consent for anesthesia.</li>\n <li>The day to day responsibility of the CRNA for this position will be to perform conscious sedation/MAC anesthesia on outpatient and inpatient cases.</li>\n <li>Managing a patient's airway.</li>\n <li>Managing emergence and recovery from anesthesia.</li>\n <li>Releasing or discharging patients from a post-anesthesia care area, and providing post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care related to anesthesia side effects or complications.</li>\n <li>Responding to emergency situations by providing airway management, administration of emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.</li>\n <li>Additional nurse anesthesia responsibilities which are within the expertise of the individual CRNA.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>In addition to his/her routine clinical duties as a staff Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), he/she is responsible for all quality initiatives and proactively and collaboratively promotes high quality, cost-effective anesthetic care by leading interactions with hospital medical staff and administration. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>HIPAA</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensures and adheres to strict confidentiality when handling patient information, according to the HIPAA Privacy Act and hospital policy and procedure regarding confidentiality.</li>\n <li>Complies with all information security practices.</li>\n <li>Takes annual HIPAA compliance exam.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education and experience equivalent to:</strong></p>\n<p>The Nurse Anesthetist shall be a Graduate of an approved school of nursing and a graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor. The CRNA will have successfully completed the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Council on Certification or its predecessor's.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Additional Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>At least two years of independent experience</li>\n <li>ACLS/BLS/PALS certification</li>\n</ul>",
