Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development—and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a test engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with software engineers, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional agile team members to evaluate software developed for data ingest, processing, and analytics platforms supporting mission systems. You’ll create a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using automated and manual testing processes, you’ll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>You’ll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of cloud-based data ingest pipelines, microservices, and distributed applications in AWS and Linux environments. This is an opportunity to supercharge your skills by writing the code to test. The world can’t wait.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>You Have:</strong> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience performing software testing across multiple methodologies including system, regression, integration, stress, black box, and white box testing</li>\n <li>Experience developing and executing automated test scripts using programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Bash</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience using automated test frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience creating testing documentation and artifacts including test plans, test procedures, use cases, and test reports</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience working in Linux-based environments</li>\n <li>Experience working within cloud environments such as AWS</li>\n <li>Experience working with structured and semi-structured data formats including JSON, XML, and CSV</li>\n <li>Experience working with software engineers, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional technical teams in a software development environment</li>\n <li>TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Systems and 8+ years of experience in test engineering or HS Diploma or GED and 12+ years of experience in test engineering</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Nice If You Have:</strong> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience serving as a sole tester supporting software engineers and DevOps teams in an agile development environment</li>\n <li>Experience developing automated testing for data ingest pipelines or data lifecycle management workflows</li>\n <li>Experience supporting CI/CD pipeline testing and automated build validation</li>\n <li>Experience working with Apache NiFi (Niagara Files) or similar data flow automation tools</li>\n <li>Experience performing testing in high-tempo or rapid software development environments</li>\n <li>Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and distributed systems testing approaches</li>\n <li>Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and distributed systems testing approaches</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of data validation techniques across ingestion, transformation, and storage workflows</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to develop automated test scripts for microservices-based architectures</li>\n <li>Ability to perform performance, load, and stress testing of distributed applications</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Clearance: </strong></p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p>Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Compensation at EverWatch is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110.58 to $122.60 per hour.
