Join our high-performing team where precision, safety, and innovation drive success.  We're hiring skilled Machine Operators who thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.  Our ideal candidate has a mechanical mindset and/or at least 2 years of experience operating production machinery. This role not only offers an opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality products but also provides a pathway for career advancement within our organization.</p>\n<p><strong>#DekaCareers</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Average wages with production bonus opportunities ranging from $25-$30 per hour or more.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Production opportunities available on 2nd and 3rd shift.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>2nd shift - 8 hour shifts ranging from 2pm-11pm depending on the start time</strong></p>\n<p><strong>3rd shift - 8 hour shifts ranging from 10pm-7am depending on the start time</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Operates, calibrates, and maintains production machines to make lead-acid batteries.</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operates and monitors automated and manual machinery with technical precision.</li>\n <li>Reads product specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.</li>\n <li>Follows sequences for operational procedures on a computer.</li>\n <li>Automatically or manually loads material into machine.</li>\n <li>Observes machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.</li>\n <li>Performs routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs including cleaning and oiling.</li>\n <li>May perform complete changeovers.</li>\n <li>Conducts quality checks and document production outputs.</li>\n <li>May measure work piece dimensions, thickness, and weight in order to determine the accuracy of machine operation.</li>\n <li>May assist in stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished work parts or product using an electric pallet jack, hoist or forklift.</li>\n <li>Collaborates with team members and supervisors to optimize performance.</li>\n <li>Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>*Specific responsibilities may vary depending on job placement. </em></strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience operating industrial production machinery (e.g., CNC, injection molding, metal stamping).</li>\n <li>Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying).</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.</li>\n <li>Ability to use basic hand tools.</li>\n <li>Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot machinery.</li>\n <li>Ability to take and read measurements.</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills (ability to interact with computer screens).</li>\n <li>Ability to lift 25-50 pounds safely and efficiently.</li>\n <li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time.</li>\n <li>Safety-conscious and detail-driven mindset.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.</li>\n <li>Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.</li>\n <li>Willingness to work overtime as needed.</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training or certifications is a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>*Many of our machine operating jobs are in an environment with lead or battery acid.
