    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>We are currently looking for <strong>Engineers</strong> in our Houston office locations.  You would be responsible for: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performing structural computations in the design and analysis of concrete, steel or other miscellaneous structures</li>\n <li>Creating analysis models and interpreting results for 2D and 3D structural frames</li>\n <li>Assisting with construction administrative tasks, including site visits and shop drawing review</li>\n <li>Understanding load paths for gravity and lateral loads and calculating applicable loads based on appropriate building codes</li>\n <li>Assisting with design drawings, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, reports and other project deliverables while working with the structures team</li>\n <li>Preparing technical studies and reports            </li>\n</ul>\n<p> In this position, the individual will be required to work closely with a team of Structural Engineers and/or Project Managers.  A willingness to work in a team environment, following the standards we have in place is a must.  A “can-do”, client-focused attitude is crucial.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering</li>\n <li>4-8 years of experience</li>\n <li>P.E. license in your resident state required</li>\n <li>Experience with Revit, Rhino or Grasshopper is a plus</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication</li>\n <li>Strong organizational skills</li>\n</ul>As a Hybrid Firm, Walter P Moore combines the best of both worlds – blending work options to include in-office and home office environments. This allows us to offer more flexibility and work-life integration to our employees. Candidates applying for this position should have the ability to commute to or periodically travel to the affiliated office. To ensure the ability to setup a suitable home office space, Walter P Moore offers a one-time $1,000 stipend that would be paid upon completion of the first week of employment.
