Are you driven by a passion to help children? Are you someone who can participate as a member of a nursing team, networking and communicating with all departments to ensure quality medical supports are provided to children served?
If yes, Lakemary is looking for a Registered Nurse/LPN- PRN for our Children's Residential Service Program. In this role you will work with children and adolescents (ages 6-21) diagnosed with developmental disabilities and co-occurring psychiatric concerns within the residential environment.
Registered Nurse/LPN Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate driven care.
Complete health assessments following safety interventions.
Triaging illness and injury reports
Implementing and following care plans
Communicating with parents/guardians, and other relevant community stakeholders
Intervene in crisis situations, including physical management of residents, using approved crisis management system and skills.
Complete all documentation by the end of shift.
An ideal candidate for this position has:
Knowledge of:
Professional nursing theory and practice.
Internal working relationships of the facility staff
Accrediting standards and regulations
Ability to:
Administer a nursing care program
Direct and coordinate the application of nursing care techniques to person’s served situations
Maintain a helpful and sympathetic attitude toward persons’ served under trying conditions and to maintain harmonious working relationships with professional, paraprofessional, and non-professional employees.
Registered Nurse Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program and either currently licensed or license-eligible as a Registered Nurse or LPN in the State of Kansas.
Preferred experience working with:
Children or adolescents
Intellectual or developmental disabilities
Psychiatric disorders
Inpatient or residential setting
Be at least 18+ years of age
Other Job Details:
Evening Shift: Days and hours vary
LPN wages start at $27 -RN wages start at $34 -RN PRN is $37 -LPN PRN is $30
Weekend shift differential $3.50/hr
Flexible scheduling with 8, 10, & 12 hour options

Certifications:
