Activities may include: Decomposition of needs and definition of requirements Creation of detailed 3D CAD (SolidWorks and PDM) models and associated documentation appropriate for fabrication and assembly (e.g. detailed drawings, bill-of-materials) Conducting analyses (Finite element and “back-of-the-envelope”) for structural, shock, vibration, and thermal mitigation Identification/specification of components and vendors Near term tasking may be related to RF systems for airborne applications, but you may be tasked on other applications as needed Who you are: This position requires the ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government Experience using SolidWorks to create 3D designs and associated documentation for fabrication and assembly Expertise with structural, vibration, shock, and thermal analyses using ANSYS Experience with designing to meet specifications, (e.g. compliance with MIL-STD-810) Experience with integration and test activities Demonstrated desire to successfully pursue new challenges, improve and broaden technical skills, seek greater responsibilities, and increase individual value to the organization Capable of effectively working in a team environment, often under tight deadlines Experience in providing information for technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMS). Background should include a Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of applicable experience; Master’s degree and at least 6 years applicable experience, or PhD and at least 2 years applicable experience. Equivalent experience will be considered Nice to have: Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $159,000 - $218,000 The salary range listed is based on external market data.
