We also provide a 401(k) savings plan, Employee Assistance Program, a tuition reimbursement program, professional development and advancement opportunities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join our team, be part of the solution, support evolving innovations, and help us continue providing quality products, all while being supported by strong leadership and a comprehensive and competitive benefits program.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This position can be located in Bethlehem, PA or Festus, MO.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure all assigned facilities maintain compliance with applicable environmental regulations, including air, water, and waste requirements</li>\n <li>Oversee preparation and submission of required permit applications and reports, including Title V air permits and compliance certifications</li>\n <li>Provide direct support to plant teams during audits, and regulatory interactions/communications</li>\n <li>Interpret regulatory requirements and ensure consistent implementation across all sites</li>\n <li>Support plants in managing emissions of NOx, SO₂, CO, particulate matter, and other regulated pollutants</li>\n <li>Partner with operations to troubleshoot environmental issues impacting production or compliance</li>\n <li>Ensures all environmental permits/regulatory plans are renewed in a timely manner and kept current with any applicable facility changes</li>\n <li>Conduct routine site visits, audits, and gap assessments to ensure consistency and identify risks</li>\n <li>Share best practices across plants to improve compliance reliability and operational efficiency</li>\n <li>Develop and implement standardized environmental procedures, tools, and reporting processes among plants and across the company</li>\n <li>Proactively identify compliance risks and work with plant teams to mitigate them before escalation</li>\n <li>Keeps aware of environmental regulatory changes with the potential to impact compay operation, and communicates these changes to the appropriate company managment</li>\n <li>Provides training for the environmental program; trains and coordinates the environmental management team</li>\n <li>Coach and support site-level environmental staff and operational teams</li>\n <li>Serve as the primary environmental resource for environmental engineers and plant managers, CAPEX, logistics and other functional groups</li>\n <li>Coach and support site-level environmental staff and operational teams</li>\n <li>Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on projects impacting environmental compliance</li>\n <li>Seeks opportunities to promote and instill an attitude of cost and profit consciousness among subordinates</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or related science</li>\n <li>A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the environmental field; with a strong background in air permitting/compliance preferred</li>\n <li><p>In-depth knowledge of:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and RCRA</li>\n   <li>Air permitting, emissions reporting, and regulatory inspections</li>\n   <li>Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS)</li>\n  </ul><p>Familiarity with cement manufacturing processes and kiln operations strongly preferred</p><p>Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites</p><p>Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on operational solutions</p><p>Effective communicator with the ability to work across all levels of the organization</p><p> Proven ability to influence without direct authority</p>Knowledge of chemical and scientific nomenclature and able to use mathematical calculations</li>\n <li>Frequent travel (approximately 20 - 30%) to support multiple facilities within area of responsibility.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong><em>B</em><em>uzzi Unicem USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
