The products at Alliance are used globally in laundromats, hotels, hospitals, universities, apartment complexes, fire stations and more. This position is based in Ripon, WI. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop firmware using <strong>C programming</strong> for the front-end control boards of washing machines, washer extractors, tumblers, and dryers.</li>\n <li>Design and implement embedded firmware solutions to ensure reliable and efficient product functionality.</li>\n <li>Create detailed test specifications for embedded control systems.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with engineering labs to validate firmware on prototypes and production systems.</li>\n <li>Conduct <strong>root cause analysis</strong> and resolve issues in firmware to ensure reliable product performance.</li>\n <li>Work with embedded system peripherals such as <strong>UART, I2C, ADC, PWM, EEPROM</strong>, and other components.</li>\n <li>Debug and optimize firmware to ensure efficient communication between components and peripherals.</li>\n <li>Write <strong>engineering change notifications (ECNs)</strong> to manage updates and improvements in firmware.</li>\n <li>Use change management tools like <strong>Git</strong> for version control and issue-tracking tools like <strong>YouTrack</strong> for efficient issue resolution.</li>\n <li>Participate in <strong>product development meetings</strong>, feature definition sessions, and pilot builds.</li>\n <li>Support manufacturing and production teams by resolving firmware-related issues during production.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education & Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields required.</li>\n <li>At least 5 years of experience in <strong>firmware development</strong> for embedded systems.</li>\n <li>Prior project management experience highly desirable.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in <strong>C programming</strong>; knowledge of <strong>Lua</strong> and UI design tools (e.g., Storyboard) is a plus.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in embedded system peripherals: <strong>UART, I2C, Interrupt timers, EEPROM, ADC, and PWM</strong>.</li>\n <li>Experience with <strong>Git</strong> for version control and <strong>YouTrack</strong> or similar issue-tracking tools.</li>\n <li>Strong debugging skills and familiarity with <strong>test-driven development</strong>.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation to support firmware development and maintenance processes.</li>\n <li>Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams.</li>\n <li>Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Alliance Team Members Demonstrate DRIVE:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Dedicated: Follows through on commitments.
