Helping others is at the core of our culture, join us in finding fulfillment by giving back to our local communities as the united team that is AIT.  Find out what our people deliver.® means when you come move the world with us!  Hear directly from our teammates at AIT Worldwide Logistics and make us the next stop on your career journey. \n<h2>Overview</h2>The Domestic Agent I has high visibility, is the primary contact for designated customers, and responsible for the outcome of assigned projects including customer service, tracking, routing, problem resolution, vendor compliance and customer interaction.\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul> \n <li>Quoting, tracking and tracing domestic freight shipments moving via air/ground on a daily basis. Track overhead shipments daily and route accordingly</li> \n <li>Route freight shipments across multiple transportation modes and services based upon client requests</li> \n <li>Proactively communicate with clients regarding status of freight</li> \n <li>Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing and rates</li> \n <li>Manage daily on-time and defect codes, carrier re-weights and insure all masters rated</li> \n <li>Ensure paperwork, labeling and scanning for accuracy</li> \n <li>Assist local sales and domestic offices with air/ground freight issues</li> \n <li>Assist in compiling customer specific key performance indicator (KPI) reports on a weekly/monthly basis as needed</li> \n <li>Understand the requirements/expectations of handling shipments of consequence – NFO, high-value, date/time specific, etc.</li> \n <li>Responsible for processing monthly inventory</li> \n <li>Network with corresponding departments to ensure files are billed and posted prior to end of month</li> \n <li>Continuous learning through required compliance training and certifications of software and/or regulations.</li> \n <li>Performs other duties as assigned</li> \n <li>Complies with all policies and standards</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<b>Education</b>• High School Diploma or GED (required) \n<b>Experience</b>• Less than one year of Freight Forwarding experience (required)  • 3+ years (preferred)  • SAP, AS400 experience (preferred) \n<b>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</b> • MicroSoft Office Low • Basic knowledge of IATA and TSA regulations Low • Ability to learn regulations and compliance procedures Low • Must be able to work in a deadline driven and fast-paced, high-volume work environment Low • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret verbal and written requests/directions, including documents such as tariffs, safety rules, operating infrastructures, and procedure manuals.
