There may be times the powder coater will have to work outside these hours.&nbsp;</p><p>Saturday or evening shifts might happen occasionally if there is a special project with a tight deadline, but the goal is a steady and reliable Monday through Friday 40-hour work week, as occasional overtime may be required.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>The pay range for this position will be based on experience and in-person test. Typically $20-$25.</strong> We also offer 7 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, and 80 hours of PTO, and a very comprehensive medical, dental, vision package.</p><p>The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced Powder Coater with recent technical experience applying industrial or marine coatings to metal components. &nbsp;This person will also enjoy collaborating with others within a fast-paced team environment and will exhibit conscientious and careful workmanship to ensure customer technical requirements are fulfilled.</p><p><strong><u>Only resumes will be accepted.</u></strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Operate all equipment following Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) instructions for safety and correct use (no hacks or shortcuts)</li><li>Start up and shut down powder coating booths; ensure the proper operation of the oven to cure parts for the specified amount of time</li><li>Before commencing each shift, inspect applicator guns, air compressors/pumps, and related tools and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate with maintenance technicians to schedule regular preventative maintenance, thereby ensuring maximum uptime of Powder Coating booth, Oven and other equipment.</li><li>Coat objects at the correct mil thickness; observe equipment, booth gauges, and control panels as necessary to achieve optimal coating</li><li>Regularly update senior personnel about the general operational status of the booths, ovens, and equipment, and any emergent issues or problems.&nbsp;</li><li>Make suggestions to leadership about how to improve speed, quality, or efficiency of production.&nbsp;</li><li>Other production-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Production Manager, Coatings Supervisor, or the company officers.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Be able to pass an in-person Powder Coat performance test</li><li>Demonstrated career experience powder coating in an industrial or maritime/marine environment.</li><li>Understand the basic physical properties and mechanics of powder Coating for metals.</li><li>Be able to understand and accurately interpret line drawings, specifications, and technical details shown on work orders to be able to correctly apply the right type/brand, color, and mil thickness of Powder Coating.</li><li>Strong communication skills (because of safety concerns, the need to communicate about potential hazards with others, and to fill in technical paperwork, which requires verbal accuracy and specificity)</li><li>This is a fast-paced physical job in a production facility requiring interaction with a work team in a noisy environment, so the ability to see and hear clearly, stand, walk, bend over, crouch, and lift and carry objects that are up to 30 pounds in weight are all required.
