    "description": "<p>Electrical Designer &ndash; Construction Administration Focus</p>\n\n<p>Travel: Up to 50% (East &amp; Northeast U.S.)</p>\n\n<p>HFA is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer with strong Construction Administration (CA) experience who enjoys being close to the work in the field. This role is ideal for someone who&rsquo;s confident collaborating with contractors, understands how designs translate into construction, and is comfortable traveling to support projects.</p>\n\n<p>You&rsquo;ll work closely with Electrical Engineers and Design Leads to deliver high-quality construction documents and provide hands-on support throughout the construction phase.</p>\n\n<p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Do</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Partner with Electrical Engineers and Design Leads to deliver complete construction documents across a variety of project types</li>\n\t<li>Provide construction administration support, including field coordination and contractor communication</li>\n\t<li>Independently develop and draft electrical designs for most projects or major project components</li>\n\t<li>Solve medium to complex design challenges and contribute technical solutions throughout the project lifecycle</li>\n\t<li>Apply working knowledge of the NEC and national electrical standards with minimal oversight on simple projects</li>\n\t<li>Assist with client communication and, in some cases, maintain direct client contact</li>\n\t<li>Collaborate with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams in a highly integrated environment</li>\n\t<li>Technical Responsibilities</li>\n\t<li>Develop power and lighting designs with a basic understanding of applicable energy codes</li>\n\t<li>Perform fault current calculations, develop 1-Line diagrams, and support simple electrical systems with minimal supervision</li>\n\t<li>Select lighting systems and controls; apply basic photometric calculations</li>\n\t<li>Edit specifications for small to mid-size projects</li>\n\t<li>Maintain a high level of quality control on your own work and occasionally assist with peer reviews</li>\n\t<li>Work within established project budgets and, depending on assignment, support the financial success of projects</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Tools &amp; Skills</strong></p>\n\n<p>Proficiency with Revit software.</p>\n\n<p>Ability to train and mentor newer staff on company standards, drafting techniques, and basic code application</p>\n\n<p>Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with contractors in the field</p>\n\n<p><strong>About HFA</strong><br />\nHFA is a multidisciplinary architectural, engineering, and interior design firm who thrives in a people first driven environment.
