Description

This is a remote/ rotational position, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Worley offers a competitive benefits package, with company paid short-term disability, life insurance, paid sick leave, and 4.5% employer match on 401k. Job Purpose: Responsible for all aspects of maintenance and the repairing of hydraulic/lattice boom cranes and heavy and light equipment. The position is located on the North Slope and requires a rotational work schedule. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Room and meals are provided while in Prudhoe Bay. Essential Job Functions: Analyze, diagnose; repair, rebuild and provide maintenance of hydraulic and lattice boom truck and crawler cranes and heavy and light duty equipment such as loader, tractors, manlifts, scissor lifts and various other lifting equipment. Dismantles, repairs, and reassembles equipment using hoists, hand tools and pneumatic and electric tools. Work on engines, structural systems, hydraulic and electrical systems, and subassemblies such as transmissions and differentials. Tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency. Perform duties in shop or in field as necessary. Self-motivation and prioritize equipment for repairs. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of diesel theory, hydraulics, electrical and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of hydraulic/lattice boom crane, heavy equipment and/or light duty equipment preventative maintenance. Knowledge of and experience in lubrication procedures for all types of cranes and heavy equipment common to heavy construction and oilfield service industries. Knowledge or previous experience w/Linkbelt 278H, National Boom trucks 900, 1300, 1400 series, Grove RT models 60-130 ton, Manitowoc 2250 and 16000. Knowledge of Manitowoc Crane Care, CAPX parts identification and ordering. Knowledge of modern Canbus electronics, PATS Q-scale systems LMI systems and diagnosing, Hirschmann 160, 350. Knowledge of Cummins engine electronics (Insite). Ability to maintain equipment maintenance records. Ability to maintain equipment to manufactures specifications. Ability to give and receive oral safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments. Ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to read and understand schematic, blueprint/drawings, job descriptions, maintenance/safety/technical manuals and safety/warning signs. Ability to work without close supervision in a safe efficient manner in adverse conditions. Physical Demands/Work Environment: Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to: Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear. Standing for prolonged periods of time. Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater. Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications. Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands. Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands. Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands. Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet. Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.
