    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>Responsible for maintaining compliance with all local, state, federal laws and company policies and maintaining transportation safety programs to ensure safe and accident-free work environment for transportation personnel and other safety related duties.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Monitors and maintains corporate compliance with Department of Transportation regulations including driver qualification files, drug/alcohol testing, and records of duty status to obtain and maintain a &ldquo;Satisfactory&rdquo; safety rating. Assists Maintenance on vehicle maintenance files to assure the files meet DOT standards.</li><li>Assist in recruiting, interviewing, evaluating, selecting, and hiring of new drivers and owner/operators to ensure candidates meet company safety standards and DOT regulations.</li><li>Conduct and/or arrange for new driver road tests, training, and orientation.</li><li>Maintain a comprehensive drivers&rsquo; manual.</li><li>Review transportation policies and procedures and work with Safety Manager and Transportation General Manager in updating as needed.</li><li>Document and maintain records on all company accidents, incidents, and vehicle damage, and other data as it relates to transportation safety and the damage bonus program. Compile monthly/annual accident/damage reports.</li><li>Investigates all transportation related accidents and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in internal investigations, hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.</li><li>Provide education and/or training programs for drivers and transportation personnel to enhance their safety knowledge and reduce accidents/injuries.</li><li>Represents the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain driver database.</li></ul><ul><li>Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety requirements.</li><li>Provides a &ldquo;Customer Service&rdquo; attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.</li><li>Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation/environment at all times.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>This position supervises the Log Auditor position.</li><li>Carry out and oversee interviewing, selecting, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Education: Associates Degree from a two-year college</li><li>Experience<strong>:</strong> 3-5 years</li><li>Certification in Basic First Aid and Adult/Child CPR is helpful.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of DOT regulations, federal and state laws and regulations and company policies.</li><li>Knowledge of DOT drug testing, physical exams, and license renewals policies and regulations.</li><li>Ability to enter data, compile documents, and work accurately and efficiently with detailed transactional information.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and owner operators.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent time management skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently without close supervision.</li><li>Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.</li><li>Proficiently working with various software programs.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to maintain good attendance habits.&nbsp;</li><li>Abide by all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.</li><li>Abide by company&rsquo;s safety, quality, environmental and HR policies at all times.</li><li>Abide by the company&rsquo;s safety, quality, environmental, and HR policies at all times.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p><ul><li>Frequently required to walk, stand, sit.&nbsp;</li><li>Occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Operate in an office and production environment.
