Through innovative and streamlined technology solutions, this dynamic team enables company growth​, protects data, and serves as a critical partner to all departments of PowerSchool.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h3>Description</h3>\n<p>The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into functional and system requirements. This role focuses on optimizing business processes, supporting system enhancements, and enabling effective use of enterprise systems to drive business outcomes.</p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements</li>\n <li>Translate business needs into clear system requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria</li>\n <li>Analyze existing business processes and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement</li>\n <li>Collaborate with architects, developers, and product owners to design, configure, and implement system solutions</li>\n <li>Support end-to-end system lifecycle activities, including planning, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support</li>\n <li>Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to align stakeholders on requirements and solution design</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain documentation and artifacts such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS), and process maps and data flow diagrams</li>\n <li>Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case development and defect triage</li>\n <li>Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, data governance, and security policies</li>\n <li>Act as a change agent by supporting training, documentation, and user adoption efforts</li>\n <li>Monitor solution performance and recommend system enhancements based on business feedback and metrics</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h3>Minimum Qualifications</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field</li>\n <li>3–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or in a similar role</li>\n <li>Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and/or SAFe methodologies</li>\n <li>Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language (and vice versa)</li>\n <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with enterprise platforms such as CRM, ERP, HRIS, or data/reporting systems</li>\n <li>Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Visio, or Lucid</li>\n <li>Experience with process modeling (e.g., BPMN), data analysis, or system integrations/APIs</li>\n <li>Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe Agilist) or business analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Core Competencies</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Stakeholder management</li>\n <li>Requirements elicitation and documentation</li>\n <li>Process optimization</li>\n <li>Systems thinking</li>\n <li>Data-driven decision-making</li>\n <li>Collaboration across business and technology teams</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation & Benefits</h2>\n<h3>Compensation & Benefits</h3>\n<p>PowerSchool offers the following benefits:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive Insurance Coverage (including Medical, Dental, Vision, Pharmacy benefits, Life Insurance and AD&D)</li>\n <li>Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts</li>\n <li>Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability</li>\n <li>Comprehensive 401(k) plan</li>\n <li>Generous Parental Leave</li>\n <li>Unrestricted paid time off (known as Discretionary Time Off - DTO)</li>\n <li>Wellness Program, including ClassPass & Employee Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li>\n <li>Optional Benefits: Pet Insurance, Identity Theft Protection, Student Debt Repayment Program and Prepaid Legal coverage</li>\n</ul>\n<p>A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $65,400 - $102,900 USD.
