    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>THE ROLE:</strong></p>\n<p>The level II Chemist should have a solid skill in applying chemistry knowledge to project assignments in the experimental design and planning stage. This role will perform standard chemical and physical analysis of inner and outer nutritional products in the quality control lab using wet chemistry techniques and instrumental analyses.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analysis of raw materials and finished products.</li>\n <li>Writes chemical analysis procedures for incorporation into test methods.</li>\n <li>Assists junior chemists to run experiments for release and stability studies.</li>\n <li>Prepares standards and reagents; calibrates and operates sophisticated laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, FTIR, UV- Visible spectrophotometer.</li>\n <li>Interprets test results and compares with determined standards and limits. Interprets and compares data and historical records and trend verification</li>\n <li>Solves practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimum supervision.</li>\n <li>Documents data in lab notebook and follow cGMP guidelines.</li>\n <li>Assists laboratory staff by training chemists and laboratory technicians.</li>\n <li>Reviews product certificates of analysis for accuracy and conformance and maintain C of A files.</li>\n <li>Maintains a safe, clean and efficient laboratory.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision</li>\n <li>Ability to organize workload for effective implementation</li>\n <li>Strong customer and results orientation</li>\n <li>Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity</li>\n <li>Ability to function as an effective team member</li>\n <li>Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>4-6 years' experience in an analytical laboratory of qualitative or quantitative analyses</li>\n <li>Experience in various wet chemical analysis and/or instrumental analysis utilizing FTIR, HPLC, GC and UV-Visible spectrophotometry</li>\n <li>Superb knowledge of cGMP guidelines</li>\n <li>Nutraceutical or pharmaceutical laboratory work experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field or equivalent experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#LI-GB1</p>\n<p>#LI-Hybrid </p>\n<h2>US Benefits Statement</h2>Herbalife offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees in the U.S. (limited to the 50 States and the District of Columbia), which includes Group Health Programs, other Voluntary Benefit Programs, and Paid Time Off.
