Teachers/Facilitators provide a quality experience for children and parents that focuses on building achievement and belonging among youth and within their families. <strong>*Must hold Iowa Early Education Licensure.&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>1. Implements curriculum within the established guidelines.&nbsp;</p><p>2. Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging.&nbsp;</p><p>3. Supervises the children, classroom, and all activities including ADA accommodations where appropriate. Follows all procedures and standards.&nbsp;</p><p>4. Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.&nbsp;</p><p>5. Cultivates positive relationships, conducts parent conferences, and maintains effective communication with parents. Engages parents as volunteers and connects them to the YMCA. &nbsp;6. Maintains required program records.&nbsp;</p><p>7. Maintains a clean and safe program site and equipment.&nbsp;</p><p>8. Supports fundraising efforts.&nbsp;</p><p>9. Actively participates in program events and activities as assigned.&nbsp;</p><p>10. Actively participates in department, branch and association meetings and trainings.&nbsp;</p><p>11. Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state licensing regulations. &nbsp;<strong id=\"isPasted\">Must hold Iowa Early Education Licensure.</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>2. Must be at least 18 years of age.</p><p>3. Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.&nbsp;</p><p>4. Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate &nbsp;program activities.</p><p>5. Complete before first shift: YMCA cause &amp; culture training; curriculum training; all required abuse prevention training.</p><p>6. Complete within 30 days of hire: BLS CPR; First Aid; Emergency Oxygen Administration (provided by YMCA)&nbsp;</p><p>7. Ability to relate effectively to and develop meaningful relationships with diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community, including ADA compliance.</p><p>8.Successful clearance of background check required.&nbsp;</p><p id=\"isPasted\">9. Follow youth boundaries policies and abuse risk management training.&nbsp;</p><p>10.
