Job Summary : The Providence Cristo Rey High School is seeking a dependable, tech-savvy Instructional Assistant to support students in a digital learning environment. This individual will supervise and support students as they progress through online, self-paced coursework using the CourseWare learning management system. The ideal candidate is punctual, proactive, and skilled at maintaining a productive and respectful classroom environment. Job Responsibilities : Instructional Support • Monitor student progress through CourseWare, an online self-paced curriculum platform, ensuring students remain on track with assignments and course milestones • Provide basic technical assistance to students navigating the CourseWare platform • Communicate student progress concerns and completion to the academic counselor • Encourage student accountability and independent learning habits Classroom & Behavior Management • Maintain a focused, orderly, and respectful learning environment at all times • Implement school-wide behavior expectations and de-escalate minor behavioral issues in a calm, consistent manner • Refer significant behavioral concerns to administration per school protocol Attendance & Data Entry • Take accurate daily attendance using PowerSchool student information system • Ensure attendance records are entered promptly and consistently each class period • Report chronic absenteeism or tardy patterns to the appropriate staff Professionalism & Punctuality • Arrive to work and all assigned duties on time, every day • Model professional conduct, reliability, and a positive work ethic for students • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development as required Competencies Required : These items are a high-level overview of competencies for full details see annual review form Communication: Is highly skilled in written and verbal communications including proofreading, editing, and interpersonal skills Decision Making: Seeks out and considers relevant information; makes sound decisions based upon analysis, experience, and judgment Initiative and Flexibility: Demonstrates initiative, seeks out additional responsibility, identifies problems and solutions; thrives on new challenges, and adjusts to unexpected changes Relationship Building : Encourages cooperation, demonstrates interpersonal skills, establishes/maintains productive, respectful working relationships Accountability: Accepts responsibility for work: monitors progress and results while maintaining confidentiality Time Management: Possesses the ability to remain organized and on schedule for all deadlines. Drives Quality and Excellence: Is self-directed, resourceful, and creative in meeting job objectives, while following through on commitments Mission Alignment:   Possesses a personal alignment with the mission of Providence Cristo Rey High School and the Corporate Work Study Program Trust: Fosters a strong foundation of trust among team members to help create positive communication and community throughout the organization Mission 1. Prays with and for students, families and colleagues and their intentions. 2. Models the example of Jesus, the Master Teacher, in what He taught, how He lived, and how  He treated others. 3. Participates in religious instruction and Catholic formation, including Christian services,  offered at the school. Non-Catholic teachers are expected to participate to the fullest extent  possible (e.g., non-Catholics would come forward to receive a blessing instead of Holy  Communion in the Catholic Mass). Professional Growth and Development 1. Commits to lifelong learning and demonstrates a passion for ongoing professional growth and  development. 2. Meets the Cristo Rey Network professional growth requirements and all local  requirements as determined by the principal and/or his/her designee(s). 3. Participates fully in Team Member meetings and professional development meetings/in-services,  contributes to school-wide goals, and supports colleagues and administrators in their own  professional growth. 4. Participates in spiritual retreats, days of reflection, and spiritual formation programs as  directed by the principal. Additional Professional Responsibilities 1. Follows local protocol as published in the Team Member handbook, Student/Family handbook,  and in other related policies, protocols, rules and regulations. 2. Serves on school committees and in other capacities as directed by the school principal. 3. Assists as requested with school fundraisers and development efforts. 4. Prepares for, attends, and participates in Registration, Open House, annual fundraiser,  graduation, etc. as directed by the school principal. 5. Prepares, attends, and participates in specific events/programs/initiatives, etc. Ministerial Expectations 1. Display of Gospel values, good judgment, and diplomacy and the safeguarding of confidential  information are required. 2. Has the potential and talent to be an effective Catholic school teacher. 3. Teachers are expected to be role models and are expressly charged with leading their  students toward Christian maturity and with teaching the Word of God. Displays a commitment to the Providence Cristo Rey educational philosophy and values 5. Additional Education/Knowledge/Skills Requirements : High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred) Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new platforms quickly; prior experience with CourseWare, PowerSchool, or similar LMS/SIS systems a plus Safe Parish Child Protection Training (provided by PCR) Criminal Background Check Ongoing professional development and faith formation This position is fully in person and does not allow for remote work
