Are you ready to bring your expertise to a team that values innovation and collaboration?  Join our Juneau, Alaska, office and advance your career with a focus on heavy civil/industrial structural design.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the Role</span></p>\n<p>As a Structural Engineer you will:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and assist in the analysis, design, and review of various building, bridge, waterfront, and other industrial structures, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Vehicle and pedestrian bridges</li>\n<li>Gangways and trestles</li>\n<li>Marine terminals, docks, harbors, and marinas</li>\n<li>Buildings constructed of wood, steel, concrete and masonry</li>\n<li>Towers for communication infrastructure and other unique purposes</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Oversee the preparation of detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.</li>\n<li>Conduct and manage inspections and condition assessments of existing structures, producing thorough technical reports with actionable recommendations.</li>\n<li>Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects, including site-civil design, surveying, geotechnical engineering, and permitting, as well as outside architectural and mechanical/electrical/plumbing firms.</li>\n<li>Contribute to project management, client communication, and proposal preparation to support business development.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<p>We are seeking candidates with:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>A bachelor of science degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited institution (M.S. preferred).</li>\n<li>Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.</li>\n<li>At least 4 years of experience in structural analysis and design, ideally with buildings and/or waterfront structures.</li>\n<li>Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., RISA 3D, SAP) and AutoCAD. Revit experience a plus.</li>\n<li>A strong understanding of structural loads, load paths, relevant design codes/standards, and construction practices.</li>\n<li>Experience with structural steel, concrete, wood, and masonry design.</li>\n<li>Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.</li>\n<li>A collaborative approach to project work and a desire to mentor junior team members.</li>\n<li>Willingness to travel occasionally for fieldwork and client meetings.</li>\n<li>A valid U.S. driver’s license, a good driving record, and vehicle insurance.</li>\n<li>Permanent authorization to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Juneau?</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Our Juneau office is conveniently located near the airport, housing, and recreational opportunities, Successful candidates will have the opportunity to visit Juneau before accepting an offer.
