We are actively looking We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. As a box truck driver, you will be reporting directly to the warehouse manager. Join our highly collaborative team where you will be able to grow your career. Apply today! Responsibilities Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance• Meet delivery schedules• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures• Collect and verify delivery instructions• Pickup full trailer loads from one location and delivers them to destination location on a daily basis.• Ensure timely and safe delivery of all loads.• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.• Maintain proper documentation for all deliveries.• Occasional help with offloading materials at delivery sites.• Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations.• Report defects, accidents, or violations Qualifications Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.). Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. No recent moving or driving violations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.) Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and clients. Education and Experience: Valid truck driving license Active Medical Card Driver’s License Class B Two years’ driving experience. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of driving Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds with assistance. Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment Perform tasks such as lifting 15 pounds at a time, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up work in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment Physical ability to walk and stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift, in increments of up to 6-8 hours. Optional Initial Priorities: The physical demands described henceforth are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
