    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>Evaluates and treats patients of all ages who suffered loss of upper, lower extremities function, balance, coordination, endurance, or present with pain, or wounds/burns due to illnesses, trauma, or surgery. This position creates a treatment plan based on assessment findings and works with patients and families to achieve the highest possible level of independence.\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<strong>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions)</strong>  \n<li>Designs and implements treatment plans based on assessment findings.</li> \n<li>Documents assessments and interventions accurately and timely.</li> \n<li>Educates patients and family members.</li> \n<li>Evaluates patients muscle strength, ROM, endurance, balance, pain, skin integrity and overall function level.</li> \n<li>Participates in multi-disciplinary meetings and case reviews.</li> \n<li>Supervises PT and PTA students as needed.</li> \n<li>Supervises PTA and Aides as needed.</li> \n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<strong>JOB SPECIFICATIONS(Minimum Requirements)</strong>\n<ul>\n <strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</strong>\n <li>Demonstrates proficiency in oral and written communication skills. </li>\n <li>Demonstrates good interpersonal skills. </li>\n <li>Demonstrates flexibility in order to meet unanticipated demands and priorities. </li>\n <li>Knowledgable in the principles of growth and development over life span. </li>\n <li>Possess skills to work with patients of all ages from infant to geriatric. </li>\n <li>Ability to perform work safely at all times adhering to the safety policies and procedures as well as the National Patient Safety Goals. </li>\n <li>Ability to perform all duties in a courteous and kind manner placing the patients and families needs first. </li>\n <li>Ability to assist other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>EDUCATION</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelors Physical Therapy Required </li>\n <li>1 Healthcare/Medical - Physical Therapy Preferred </li>\n <li>Licensed Physical Therapist </li>\n <li>Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR</strong> Meets the Standards of Behavior as outlined in Personnel Policy and Procedure #1, Employee Relations Code. \n<strong>CONFIDENTIALITY/HIPAA/CORPORATE COMPLIANCE</strong> Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational and other medical information.
