Our Asset Protection/Loss Prevention training program will provide you with the knowledge and tools to do the job while you grow in responsibility. Use innovative technology and dive deep into analytics as you exercise your investigative skills on our asset protection team. Each detective is charged with maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the execution of their duties within the store.</span></p>\n<p><span><strong><u>Essential Functions</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Greet and welcome all customers while on the selling floor</span></li>\n <li><span>Identify, observe and apprehend individual(s) for committing theft by shoplifting</span></li>\n <li><span>Knowledge of state laws and statues as related to the crime of shoplifting and apprehensions</span></li>\n <li><span>Participate in store shortage reduction program, including working in partnership with specific departments</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain building safety and security; open and close the building when appropriate</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>Qualifications and Competencies</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>High School Diploma or equivalent required</span></li>\n <li><span>1-2 years related experience</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers</span></li>\n <li><span>Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team</span></li>\n <li><span>Must satisfy licensing requirements (as required by state or local jurisdiction)</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience operating and monitoring CCTV systems</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department</span></li>\n <li><span>May occasionally involve reaching above eye level, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Must be able to apprehend shoplifters</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to sustain long periods of time enclosed in surveillance areas.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Frequently lift/move up to 30lbs.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><i>This job description is not all-inclusive and may not apply to colleagues covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
