    "description": "<h2>Job Overview</h2>\n<p>A Purchasing Coordinator supports production with purchased material to fabricate windows and doors. It is their responsibility to obtain the appropriate quantity of goods in a professional, reliable and responsive manner at the negotiated price while meeting quality, schedule and performance requirements specified by the Marvin company. </p>\n<h2>Highlights of your role</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Place Purchase Orders and Work Orders: Use MRP systems to manage purchase and work orders, ensuring material availability for production.</li>\n <li>Review Open Order Reports: Address past due purchase orders.</li>\n <li>Review Shortage Reports: Monitor and prioritize critical shortages, communicating with suppliers and stakeholders for expedited deliveries.</li>\n <li>Process Material Reject Reports: Follow standardized processes for material rejects, ensuring production materials meet specifications.</li>\n <li>Request Backhauls: Coordinate logistics to optimize deliveries and reduce transportation costs.</li>\n <li>SOL/Skips and Shortage Maintenance: Identify and communicate solutions for material shortages.</li>\n <li>Critical WIP Counts: Validate non-nettable inventory to prevent production disruptions.</li>\n <li>Review Accounts Payable invoicing for accuracy.</li>\n <li>Place PO’s for Requisition Requests: Purchase indirect materials using the requisition approval process.</li>\n <li>Update MRP Drivers: Ensure MRP system parameters are current and accurate for optimal inventory management.</li>\n <li>Update historical production data in the forecasting system.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Computer proficiency (ICIM, Word, Excel) </li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal </li>\n <li>Ability to read and understand material prints and specifications </li>\n <li>Understanding of material quality requirements, processes and procedures </li>\n <li>Ability to analyze inventory usage and requirements </li>\n <li>Leadership skills </li>\n <li>Purchasing processes and systems knowledge </li>\n <li>Negotiating skills </li>\n <li>2 or 4 year business related degree is preferrable </li>\n <li>Prior purchasing experience a plus </li>\n <li>Knowledge/experience of Marvin product </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>We invite you to See Yourself at Marvin</h2>\n<p>From people to products, Marvin is committed to creating better ways of living.
