As a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technology Systems Specialist</span>, you’ll play a vital<br>role in supporting the Transportation Department by managing and improving the technology systems that keep our operations moving.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT YOU'LL DO:</span></p>\n<p>• <em>Move Technology Forward:</em> Support technology projects from research and planning through implementation and<br>deployment.<br>• <em>Keep Systems Running:</em> Maintain, repair, and upgrade computers, software, hardware, and operating systems for local and remote users.<br>• <em>Provide Tech Support &amp; Training:</em> Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, VPN, and VoIP issues, and deliver clear, effective technology training.<br>• <em>Manage Technology Assets:</em> Purchase, inventory, and track equipment while documenting support and repair history.<br>• <em>Support Daily Operations:</em> Perform routine system checks and updates and serve as a key liaison between staff and management on technology needs. <br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SKILLS TO WOW US:</span><br>• <em>You’re tech-savvy:</em> You understand computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.<br>• <em>You know your networks: </em>You’re comfortable with TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and Active Directory.<br>• <em>You manage systems with confidence: </em>You have experience with Windows Server/Desktop OS, VoIP, and virtualized environments.<br>• <em>You’re organized and proactive:</em> You’re a self-starter with strong problem-solving and time-management skills.<br>• <em>You work well independently and with others:</em> You collaborate effectively while managing your own responsibilities.<br>• <em>You communicate professionally:</em> You interact clearly and courteously with staff, contractors, and participants.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</span><br>• <em>Minimum:</em> Associate degree in Computer Science with two (2) years of related IT experience.
