Even if you feel like you don’t meet all criteria, please give it a shot, and still apply. </em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Vacancy type:</span> <em>This posting is for an existing vacancy.</em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">About the Position:</span></span></p>\n<p>Reporting to the Construction Project Manager, the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Field Quality Coordinator</span> will be responsible for but not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reviews new project specifications and drawings and develops Field Quality Plans and Installation ITPs.</li>\n<li>Adheres to and maintains Walters Quality Management System.</li>\n<li>Manages Site NCRs; root cause, corrective and preventative actions.</li>\n<li>Liaises with the various departments, as required, to ensure consistency of service and resolve problems as they arise.</li>\n<li>Assist with overseeing NCR’s from first creation to close out</li>\n<li>Support field team with interpretation of drawings, standards and quality requirements.</li>\n<li>Assist in closing out deficiencies</li>\n<li>Participate in and review quality audits, testing and inspection with GC’s, third-party inspectors.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Work Location:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Head office in Hamilton ON. Daily/Weekly travel to sites, sub fabricators and suppliers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Position Requirements:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completion of a college diploma or degree in Engineering or similar</li>\n<li>1 to 3+ years’ experience in the Structural Steel Industry and site installation.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (CSA S16, W47/W59)</li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in Quality Management and coordination of a Quality System.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in the Structural Steel Industry.</li>\n<li>Experience or understanding of the ISO:9001 certification.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of steel fabrication concepts, practices, and procedures.</li>\n<li>Ability to read structural and fabrication drawings.</li>\n<li>Ability to read field erection drawings.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated proficiency in supporting site installation and Project Management in interacting directly with customers, 3rd party consultants, and inspectors.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Products, AutoCAD, and other drafting software (i.e. Tekla, Trimble).</li>\n<li>Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.</li>\n<li>Leadership and Interpersonal Skills</li>\n<li>Communication Skills – Both Written, Verbal, Listening</li>\n<li>Problem Solving and Decision-Making Skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Compensation Package:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wage: $31.00-$38.00/Hour</li>\n<li>Vacation</li>\n<li>Paid sick and Bereavement leaves.</li>\n<li>Flexible extended health and dental care packages.</li>\n<li>Employee Assistance Program.</li>\n<li>RRSP Matching.</li>\n<li>Profit Sharing.</li>\n<li>Employee Family Scholarship Program.</li>\n<li>Tuition support (Apprentice, Continued Education)</li>\n<li>Values in Action (ViA)- participating in charity events coordinated by employees.
