Summary of Role:
Serena and Lily is seeking an MHE Trainer, You will have the opportunity to enable the growth of our expanding supply chain network through a focus on providing an exceptional onboarding experience for new team members and fostering a culture of learning, development, standardization, and teamwork on all MHE in the Distribution Center.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assisting with administrative tasks that support core training programs, such as printing training material, completing program adherence and practical tests, keying completed training, reviewing reports, or sending communication to building partners. Measuring, monitoring and document training and observation programs in adherence and leading the site in completing compliance training and re-certifications. Pull reporting and communicate action plans with leaders and trainers. Identifying opportunities for improvement, inconsistencies or inaccuracies, or other concerns in current training programs, and providing feedback to the appropriate parties in a timely manner Design and implement solutions to resolve inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and other concerns identified in current training programs with direction from your Manager. Purpose and scope:

Promoting health and safety: MHE observers should lead by example and reinforce good behavior. (Coaching, Verbal, Written, Suspension, Termination) The Safety Lead will onboard and do initial training at the start and do continuous training, whereas the Trainer will continue to train as well as encompass observing all employees to ensure they are performing within the guidelines. Regular monitoring is important because even well-trained operators can become complacent over time. Accidents involving forklift trucks can have a life-changing impact, so it's important to enforce safe operating practices.
Daily Forklift Checklist/Observations
OSHA requires that all forklifts be examined at least once a day or shift before use by a procedure known as a Pre-Operation Inspection. This practice requires that operators perform a visual and functional test of the lift’s systems, documenting their results in a physical or digital checklist. The goal here is to make sure that the lift is being checked for safe functionality before each use, and that the operator has assured themselves that their lift truck will get them safely through the day. If any circumstances make the operator feel uncertain about the lift’s safety during this check, the operator must remove the lift from service.
Health and Safety Work Act
The HSW Act requires you to provide adequate supervision. It is essential that staff have enough training and knowledge to recognize safe and unsafe practices. This does not mean they need full operator training, but they do need to understand the risks involved, and how to avoid or prevent them. Some organizations offer training courses for supervisors, managers and staff of lift-truck operations. MHE Safety Teams should be able to:
Expectations of Observations:
Pre-use check: Whether a pre-use check was completed Personal protective equipment (PPE): Whether the correct PPE is being worn and to a suitable standard, if applicable.
