Shreveport, LA 71119.</p>\n<p>Sell spare and replacement parts and equipment in repair shop or parts store for multiple product lines. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Read catalogs or computer displays in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.</li>\n <li>Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions.</li>\n <li>Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.</li>\n <li>Fill customer orders from stock.</li>\n <li>Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.</li>\n <li>Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.</li>\n <li>Take inventory of stock.</li>\n <li>Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.</li>\n <li>Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money.</li>\n <li>Mark and store parts in stockrooms according to prearranged systems.</li>\n <li>Discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of machines or equipment.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate equipment to customers and explain functioning of equipment.</li>\n <li>Place new merchandise on display.</li>\n <li>Measure parts, using precision measuring instruments, in order to determine whether similar parts may be machined to required sizes.</li>\n <li>Repair parts or equipment.</li>\n <li>Calculate and provide sales quotes to customers on multi-part orders.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.</li>\n <li>Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Oracle experience preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and two to four years related experience. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Conditions & Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Parts department environment. Parts storage area may not be air conditioned.</li>\n</ul>",
