hands on <strong>Ticketed</strong> <strong>Millwright.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is based out of Edmonton, AB</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>The Team</h2>\n<p>Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, this role is responsible to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.</p>\n<h2>Work Environment</h2>\n<p>The hours for this position are Monday to Friday, overtime may be required, including half day Saturday’s if needed. </p>\n<h2>A Day in The Life</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, and micrometers</li>\n <li>Assemble and install equipment using hand tools/power tools</li>\n <li>Layout mounting holes using measuring instruments and drill holes with power drill</li>\n <li>Replace defective parts on machinery/equipment or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts</li>\n <li>Dismantle machines/equipment using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools</li>\n <li>Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly using hand tools/power tools</li>\n <li>Move machinery and equipment using hoists, overhead crane, dollies, rollers etc.</li>\n <li>Assemble machines/equipment and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures using hand tools/power tools</li>\n <li>Conduct preventative maintenance and repair and lubricate machines and equipment</li>\n <li>Weld, repair and fabricate equipment or machinery</li>\n <li>Provide technical support, adjust settings, confirm proper operation and make recommendations for continuous improvements</li>\n <li>Install and maintain mechanical and electrical systems and components.</li>\n <li>Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues within the facility.</li>\n <li>Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows applicable codes, blueprints, and standards.</li>\n <li>Complete required documentation of maintenance, repairs, and other service information.</li>\n <li>Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot problems to maximize equipment uptime and minimize breakdowns.</li>\n <li>read and interpret electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings, specifications, and applicable codes to determine wiring layouts,</li>\n <li>Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings,</li>\n <li>Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors,</li>\n <li>Position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels and fuse enclosures,</li>\n <li>Install, replace, maintain and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment,</li>\n <li>Splice, join and connect wire to form circuits,</li>\n <li>Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety,</li>\n <li>Install, replace, maintain and repair electrical generation sources and related equipment, and</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em><u>Core Competencies</u></em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to diagnose hydraulic systems</li>\n <li>Understanding of automated systems, HMI, PLC's</li>\n <li>Knowledge of conveyors, metal sorting equipment, air compressors, air dryers, etc.</li>\n <li>Mechanically inclined, with some experience in welding and electrical</li>\n <li>Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills</li>\n <li>Organizational and time management abilities, confident, resourceful and highly motivated</li>\n <li>Results-oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively to plan jobs</li>\n <li>Ability to actively listen and use creativity to solve problems</li>\n <li>Ability to recognize the environmental factors and risks that enable and support safety in the workplace</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain professionalism always and work with limited supervision</li>\n <li>Basic computer knowledge and ability to complete reports as required</li>\n <li>Ability to multi-task and meet objectives/deliverables</li>\n <li>High standards for work, meticulous, with great attention to detail and strong analytical skills</li>\n <li>Ability to stay on task past regular scheduled hours to ensure job completion</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience & Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic Certification</li>\n <li>Minimum of 10 years of Millwright experience</li>\n <li>Must be able to work inside and outside year-round in all weather conditions</li>\n <li>Previous experience working in the industrial/metal industry is considered a strong asset</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What's in
