Your Opportunity
The Senior Architect will apply superior client service skills, and project management best practices, to deliver Mission Critical (primarily data center) projects that meet project requirements, exceed client expectations, and meet project financial and other objectives. Working within our thriving buildings practice, you will contribute to project delivery standards and work processes, provide quality control, workload forecasting, financial performance accountability, and collaboration with other disciplines.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure successful execution
Work collaboratively with project leaders, design partners, peers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success metrics, and develop innovative and practical solutions, and meet the project's conditions of satisfaction.
Lead cross-functional teams, facilitating communication and collaboration to achieve project milestones.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively
Conduct regular project status meetings and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders
Mentor junior staff and team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes.
Engage with external partners, including vendors and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance and integration of project design.
Establish relationships with clients, agencies, providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure design alignment with project objectives.
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project requirements are met.
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess project variables and develop reliable design solutions independently.
Prepare detailed design documents, specifications, and reports.
Ensure compliance with design standards and regulations.
Participate in/lead project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Successfully manage projects and tasks of a scope, complexity, and revenue budget appropriate to experience.
Meets technical, contractual, schedule, budgetary, and client service objectives for each project.
Manages and plans the production resources and workflow to produce the design documentation, drawings, and calculations required for projects.
Effectively delegate work to production support staff.
Nurtures existing client relationships and proactively pursues opportunities for new business.
Develop project proposals and participate in project pursuits.
Develop and deliver project-related client presentations.
Proactively pursues additional knowledge in related disciplines by attending available in-house and external training.
Maintain awareness of operational, technical, or regulatory changes within the A& E industry, disseminate such knowledge to staff and firm, and integrate it into existing processes and standards.
Maintain and update specification documents, technical documentation, and standards in collaboration with other technical leaders in Stantec.
Develop and maintain industry relationships and visibility with current and prospective clients, sub-consultants, and partner firms in the local and regional A/E industry.

Knowledge and experience to identify and manage potential unanticipated scope. Functional knowledge of BIM software Revit Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, and/or demonstrated skills. Professional License is strongly preferred. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
