Utilizing trend performance data and known/potential failure causes, the Engineer implements corrective actions to minimize pre-mature engine removals and reduce engine operating costs</li>\n <li>Determines embodiment of, and manages, product improvement initiatives applicable to aircraft powerplants and systems including auxiliary power units</li>\n <li>Develops engineering documents such as Engineering Orders (EO), Engineering Technical Notice (ETN) and Fleet Campaign Directive (FCD) in support of urgent action requirements to return/keep engines in operation as well as those required for implementation of manufacturer’s service bulletins and technical variances</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in a team environment and the ability to prioritize work and projects in order to meet competing deadlines from members of the team</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to show initiative and critical thinking skills are necessary</li>\n <li>Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time, and be self-motivated</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Who are we looking for?</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Requirements </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum age of 18 </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited college/university ; three years aircraft maintenance experience with a valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license may be substituted for the degree </li>\n <li>Possess the legal right to work in the United States </li>\n <li>Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language </li>\n <li>Must have the knowledge and skills to be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Access, Powerpoint </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Understand letters and numbers to prepare studies and perform complex mathematical calculations </li>\n <li>Ability to exercise sound judgment in making recommendations on information gathered/reviewed </li>\n <li>Previous experience as an aeronautical engineer with a powerplant career track preferred </li>\n <li>Advanced aeronautical degree, preferred </li>\n <li>Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects concurrently, preferred </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to develop well organized audio/visual presentations and the communication skills to effectively deliver those presentations, preferred </li>\n <li>Proven ability to work well under extreme deadlines, preferred </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Please note: The description is intended to provide a brief overview of the position.
