Then keep reading! The Norridge location of NSI is a progressive manufacturer of die castings that has been in business for 50+ years and we look forward to having you join our team! Please note, this is a full-time, 2nd shift position (3:15pm - 11:45pm, Monday - Friday).<br><br><b><u>General Summary</u></b><br>Accountable for performing all required tasks to support die cast operation.<ul><li>Perform quality checks as required per routing sheet and report any issues with part quality, process and/or machine</li><li>Keep all material segregated between checks</li><li>Identify defects and use measuring equipment (gauges, caliper, micrometer, etc.)</li><li>Verify calibration due date on all measuring equipment</li><li>Report any nonconformances, expired or missing items to Quality</li><li>Properly mix/dilute lubricants</li><li>Perform required zinc changes when applicable and refill ingots as needed</li><li>Properly separate/segregate between material types</li><li>Separate parts from runners/objects</li><li>Operate all scales and report any issues with equipment or process</li><li>At the beginning of every shift, verify that shop ticket holder, color cone, color stamps (Part ID, if applicable) are at assigned machine</li><li>Perform daily operator PMs required</li><li>Operate assigned machine(s) and report excessive machine stoppages, scrap, or other issues</li><li>Clean machine, surrounding areas and collect dross</li><li>Clean and keep in good working condition all machines and operator tables, fans, printers, monitors and working surfaces</li><li>Move material when operation is complete or when required to do so</li><li>Properly fill out routing sheet and report any issues with scrap, quantity, and machine</li><li>Label and tag production when required</li><li>Wear required PPE</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by Shift Supervisor or management</li></ul><u><strong>Requirements</strong></u><ul><li>Heavy Lifting (up to 50 pounds).</li><li>Basic math</li><li>Basic reading</li><li>Basic computer skills</li></ul><br><strong>Salary</strong>: $17.00/hr.
