    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities & Qualifications</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a<strong> Virtual Platform Administrator</strong> to join our team supporting Cloud and Infrastructure Services at Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience managing and maintaining virtualized server environments and hosted applications.</li>\n <li>At least two (2) years of experience managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects involving virtualization, systems administration, and networking.</li>\n <li>Five (5) years hands-on experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) commercial cloud hosting solutions (desired).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification</li>\n <li>DoD 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification:\n  <ul>\n   <li>COMPTIA Security+ CE</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)</li>\n <li>COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)</li>\n <li>Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Global Industriel Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)</li>\n <li>One of the Following Google Cloud Platform certifications:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Google Associate Cloud Engineer</li>\n   <li>Google Professional Cloud Architect</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>One of the following AWS certifications:\n  <ul>\n   <li>AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner</li>\n   <li>AWS Certified Security – Specialty</li>\n   <li>AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate</li>\n   <li>AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional</li>\n   <li>AWS Certified SysOps Administrator</li>\n   <li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate</li>\n   <li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert</li>\n   <li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate</li>\n   <li>Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Cloud Operations</li>\n   <li>Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)</li>\n   <li>Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Clearance </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Secret – IT-I (Tier 5/SSBI) Critical Sensitive Clearance </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Experience and Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Expertise in implementing and sustaining complex multi-cloud solutions (Google, AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI).</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of cloud deployment models, network architecture, security, and virtualized infrastructure.</li>\n <li>Proficient in authoring custom scripts to automate administrative tasks and improve system efficiency.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage and maintain virtualized infrastructure for on-premises data centers, DoD, and commercial cloud-based offerings, including private, public, and hybrid clouds.</li>\n <li>Perform host, hypervisor, and virtual application software implementations and upgrades for on-premises hypervisors, supporting hardware, software, and applications.</li>\n <li>Provide cloud-based infrastructure support for virtual machines, virtual appliances, software, programs, applications, and all applicable virtualized infrastructure components.</li>\n <li>Ensure high availability, security, and integrity of hosts, virtual management applications, and associated resources.</li>\n <li>Monitor hypervisors, infrastructure, and virtualization applications, including alert configuration, error log monitoring, and automation of administrative tasks.</li>\n <li>Install host and virtualization infrastructure application patches and releases across development, test, pre-production, and production environments.</li>\n <li>Serve as a key resource for troubleshooting system problems on hosts, hypervisors, and virtual infrastructure.</li>\n <li>Create and maintain accurate system documentation for assigned systems, including tracking changes to virtualized infrastructure configurations.</li>\n <li>Assist in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and tuning for assigned virtualized systems.</li>\n <li>Participate in virtualization disaster recovery planning, supporting fault tolerance and recovery strategies.</li>\n <li>Analyze performance trends to optimize system and application performance across virtualized environments.</li>\n <li>Support the design, implementation, and sustainment of complex multi-cloud solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS deployments.</li>\n <li>Develop custom scripts to automate administrative tasks and improve system efficiency.</li>\n <li>Apply expertise in network architecture, security, and routing, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), load balancers, and firewalls.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT </strong></p>\n<p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.
