Additionally, the successful candidate will prioritize academic success as equally important as competitive achievement, ensuring that student-athletes excel in the classroom as well as in competition. \\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nBargaining Unit/Salary Level: This position is a contract position that will pay $3000 for the 2026-27 academic year and ($1500 for the fall semester and $1500 for the spring semester).\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp; \\r\\n\\r\\nOrganizational Relationship: \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tReports to: Director of Athletics, Student Engagement, &amp; the Esports Head Coach\\r\\n\\tSupervises: Student-athletes\\r\\n\\tCoordinates with: Esports Head Coach\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nPrimary Duties: \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tCoach rosters across multiple titles and genres \\r\\n\\tCoach ESports team; manage practice and competition schedules.\\r\\n\\tEnsure rosters are following NJCAAe rules and regulations. \\r\\n\\tMonitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes, including managing player study halls hours during the season and facilitating access to academic resources. \\r\\n\\tEnsure adherence to all safety protocols and compliance with departmental and YCCC policies. \\r\\n\\tMaintain a flexible work schedule to include days, late nights, and weekends as required. \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nAdditional Duties: \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tEducate players on YCCC travel policies. \\r\\n\\tCoordinate team publicity with the Athletics office. \\r\\n\\tSupport fundraising initiatives within the ESports Department. \\r\\n\\tAssist with travel and contest arrangements. \\r\\n\\tCollaborate with the Athletic Director on awards, budgeting, scheduling, and recruitment. \\r\\n\\tPerform other related duties as assigned. \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nMinimum Qualifications: \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tAssociate&#39;s degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience. \\r\\n\\tProven ability to coach and manage student-athletes. \\r\\n\\tStrong organizational skills and ability to supervise teams. \\r\\n\\tProficiency in teaching gaming-related skills. \\r\\n\\tExperience in ESports as a participant and/or coach. \\r\\n\\tValid driver&rsquo;s license.\\r\\n\\tAbility to attend matches &amp; practices in person\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nIf you are a passionate and strategic coach with a strong commitment to fostering student success both academically and competitively, and a deep appreciation for the transformative power of education and sports, we invite you to join our team at York County Community College as the Esports Assistant Coach.
