This is a great opportunity to join a growing school on the cusp of a major turning point.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">The Position: </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">As a College Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding students through their academic journey and college admissions process. Responsibilities include academic advising, college admissions counseling, career guidance, and addressing personal and social concerns related to higher education. </span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">This position will ideally focus on the local and EU university market</span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">, as well as help develop the MYP and younger years career and university guidance program per the strategic plan. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">1. Engagement and Interaction – School Ambassador to Internal Community:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">- Promote the mission and philosophy of the school</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">- Establish a safe, purposeful learning environment for all students</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">- Promote the progress and well-being of all students</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">- Engage and motivate the students to be ambitious for themselves and others</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">- Supervise students in and out of classroom activities as part of the regular  curricular and extra-curricular school programmes</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">- Participate in extracurricular duties that assist in growing the school</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">2. Individualised College Counseling:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">- Work with high school students to create personalised college plans, including academic and extracurricular recommendations, standardised testing strategies, and course selection.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">- Provide guidance and support to parents and guardians on careers and college planning</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">3. College Application Support: </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">- Assist students in preparing and submitting college applications, including helping with essays, resumes, and other required materials.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">4. Admissions Testing: </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">- Provide guidance on SAT/ACT test preparation, registration, and strategies for success.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">5. College Research: </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">- Stay current on college admissions trends and maintain a database of colleges and universities worldwide, including their programs, admission requirements, and scholarships.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">6. Financial Aid and Scholarships:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">-Advise students and parents on financial aid options, scholarships, and assist with the FAFSA and CSS Profile applications.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">7. Interview Preparation: </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">- Conduct mock interviews and prepare students for college admissions interviews.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">8.
