    "description": "<p>The Domestic Violence Officer (DVO) works in partnership with the General Investigations Section (GIS).  GIS constables are members of a specialized uniform team that conducts risk-based and evidence-focused investigations.  DVO’s conduct follow-up investigation of domestic violence incidents and respond to assist front line officers when appropriate. DVO’s specialize in safety planning and risk assessment; they lead and plan interviews with victims, witnesses and accused persons and collect evidence to support investigations. DVO’s work collaboratively with other DVO’s, the Domestic Violence Coordinator, the RDVU, Crown Counsel, MCFD, Corrections and Victim Services to manage safety.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Job Description:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Primarily a uniform position, but may include some plain clothes work </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Working 11.43 shifts, following a 4-5-5 schedule of days and afternoons </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and manage intimate partner violence and family violence investigations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage victims, witnesses and accused and connect with supports &amp; services </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate with victims and provide offender status updates </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor Offenders.
