With a high volume of cross-referrals, a robust tristate ASC network, and a powerful direct-to-consumer marketing engine, NYBG offers a unique opportunity for a motivated, entrepreneurial orthopedic surgeon to build and lead this new initiative.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In addition, NYBG has exclusive direct-to-employer relationships through which self-insured employers refer bariatric patients directly to our practices and ASCs across the region. We believe there is a significant opportunity to extend these partnerships to orthopedic procedures, especially total joint replacements. This position offers a rare chance to join a high-growth platform and help shape a new clinical vertical from the ground up.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>WHAT WE OFFER: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Access to NYBG’s extensive bariatric patient base (over 10k patients) and built-in referral volume.</li>\n <li>Nationally recognized direct-to-consumer marketing and branding.</li>\n <li>Exclusive direct-to-employer relationships that present untapped orthopedic volume.</li>\n <li>Network of high-performance ASCs across the tristate area equipped for total joint cases.</li>\n <li>A collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment with full administrative support.</li>\n <li>Competitive compensation package with future partnership and leadership tracks.</li>\n <li>A strategic role in shaping the orthopedic service line as part of a market-leading medical group</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Compensation for this position starts at $500,000 but ranges depending on experience. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Evaluate patients through medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRIs, CT scans).</li>\n <li>Diagnose musculoskeletal conditions such as fractures, arthritis, joint disorders, and sports injuries.</li>\n <li>Perform surgical procedures including joint replacements, arthroscopy, fracture repairs, and soft tissue reconstruction.</li>\n <li>Provide non-surgical treatments such as medication management, physical therapy referrals, and orthopedic devices (braces, casts).</li>\n <li>Monitor post-operative progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.</li>\n <li>Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, recovery, and prevention.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with Mid-Level Practitioners, Behavioral Health, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary, and nutritional departments adhering to care model for patients</li>\n <li>Assist patients in postoperative care in both hospital and office settings</li>\n <li>Provide support, including call coverage, to the orthopedic surgery program</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><u>Education, Licensure or Certification:</u></p>\n<p>·         Degree of Doctor of Medicine</p>\n<p>·         Completion of an orthopedic surgery residency; joint replacement fellowship preferred</p>\n<p>·         Licensed in NY or NJ.</p>\n<p>·         Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>Work Experience or Related Experience:</u></p>\n<p>·         Must have strong interpersonal skills and be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people at various levels</p>\n<p>·         Strong clinical background and business acumen</p>\n<p>·         Prior experience in an ASC strongly preferred, particularly with same day total joint cases</p>\n<p>·         Interest or experience in working with patients who are overweight/obese patients</p>",
