Our success is a direct result of the people who work here.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Driller Assistant will support drilling operations by assisting with equipment setup, maintenance, and site preparation while following all safety protocols. This role involves working closely with Drillers, Engineers, and Technicians in a fast-paced field environment. The Driller Assistant must be adaptable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn, with a strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">OVERALL GOALS FOR POSITION</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the efficient completion of projects by assisting drillers with daily tasks.</li>\n<li>Develop hands-on experience with ConeTec’s drilling equipment, sampling systems, and field procedures.</li>\n<li>Gain industry exposure and technical skills to advance within the company.</li>\n<li>Complete required safety and technical training to grow into a Driller role.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; EXPECTATIONS</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equipment Operation</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of drilling rigs, sampling systems, and in-situ testing equipment.</li>\n<li>Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment are prepared for daily operations.</li>\n<li>Support mobilization and demobilization of drilling equipment, often in remote or challenging environments.</li>\n<li>Provide assistance to Engineers, Technicians, and Drillers as required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Health &amp; Safety</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow ConeTec’s safety procedures and protocols at all times.</li>\n<li>Participate in daily safety meetings and job hazard assessments before beginning work.</li>\n<li>Immediately report safety incidents, hazards, or near misses to the Supervisor or HSE Officer.</li>\n<li>Wear and maintain all required personal protective equipment (PPE)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other General Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate with the Supervisor or Project Manager regarding equipment issues or site observations.</li>\n<li>Assist with basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.</li>\n<li>Support general site cleanup and shop functions as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.</li>\n<li>Completion of relevant vocational training or technical courses in drilling, construction, geotechnics, or heavy equipment operation is an asset.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in drilling, construction, mining, or heavy equipment operation is an asset.</li>\n<li>Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.), working in various weather conditions, and navigating uneven terrain.</li>\n<li>A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical Skill Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving heavy materials up to 50 lbs., climbing, crawling as well as walking on uneven ground, working long hours in all weather conditions.</li>\n<li>Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform minor maintenance on equipment.</li>\n<li>Willingness to complete on-the-job training and safety certifications.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Soft skill requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess strong work ethic and represent the company in a professional manner.</li>\n<li>Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.</li>\n<li>Must be responsible and work well independently or in a team setting with minimal supervision.</li>\n<li>Must enjoy performing a wide variety of duties and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and identify problems and provide potential solutions.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changes in business processes, goals and priorities.</li>\n<li>Ability to take direction and feedback from senior, contemporary and junior staff.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p>As part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, and due to the requirement that employees be able to safely complete the tasks associated with this job position, a successful candidate may be required to take a pre-employment fit for duty test, including a drug and alcohol testing, and complete a satisfactory criminal record check.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>ConeTec is an equal opportunity employer.
