This role is in&nbsp;<span lang=\"EN-GB\">New York, NY</span></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:&nbsp;</span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Architecture &amp; Design Leadership: Play a lead role in the design, architecture and implementation of trading, sales, and operations workflows, ensuring alignment with business goals and engineering best practices.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Trade-Flow Platform Development: Design and build flexible, scalable trade-flow software capable of handling diverse client-side and OMS-side integration patterns and high-throughput scenarios.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Trading, Operations, and Engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Technology Innovation: Work alongside a cross-functional engineering team to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, contributing to a modern, high-performance technology stack.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">AI-Driven Automation: Champion an AI-first mindset by driving automation initiatives, intelligent code refactoring, and the adoption of AI tooling to improve developer productivity and system efficiency.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Engineering Excellence: Deliver well-designed, testable, secure, and performant code through hands-on programming, rigorous code reviews, and adherence to engineering standards.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Production Support: Provide second-level production support, troubleshoot complex system issues, and contribute to incident resolution and post-mortem processes.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Mentorship &amp; Technical Leadership: Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical growth, and engineering craftsmanship.</span></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:&nbsp;</span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Industry Experience: 14 plus years of experience designing, building, and delivering real-time, scalable, and resilient software applications within Financial Services or similarly complex, high-throughput domains.</span></li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Core Backend Proficiency: Deep expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem — including Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, and ORM frameworks — with a strong focus on building production-grade, enterprise-scale services.</span></li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Frontend Development: Proficiency in modern front-end technologies including Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS, with working knowledge of jQuery and component-based UI architecture.</span></li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Data &amp; Persistence: Strong command of relational and analytical database technologies, e.g., Oracle /<span>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Microsoft SQL Server, with experience in data modeling, query optimization, and large-scale data management.</span></li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Messaging &amp; Middleware: Hands-on experience with messaging and middleware technologies such as Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, FIX protocol, with an understanding of event-driven and asynchronous system design.</span></li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Agile Delivery: Solid understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies, with a proven ability to deliver in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments with shifting priorities.</span></li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Communication &amp; Leadership: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
