Intertek’s Building Science Solutions (BSS) group is primarily focused on building enclosure consulting, commissioning, and field performance testing for new construction and retrofit projects.</p><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;\"><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;\">The ideal <strong>Building Enclosure Consultant</strong> / Senior Project Manager brings deep experience in building enclosure consulting and commissioning for both new and existing buildings. This individual <u>will serve as a leader</u> in the Chicago region, guiding project teams, mentoring staff, and contributing technical expertise. In partnership with the Regional Manager, they will help grow the local BSS business by developing client relationships, pursuing new opportunities, and ensuring high-quality project delivery.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;\"><strong>Shift/Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>Monday – Friday 8AM-5PM, this position will travel up to 25% outside the local area, dependent on project load.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;\"><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information:</strong></p><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;\">The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000.&nbsp;<u>This position is bonus eligible</u>. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;\">In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;\"><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Collaborate with the Regional Manager to lead and build Chicago area business, including technical work, business development, and mentoring staff</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Provide and lead building enclosure commissioning projects. Also, train existing staff in BECx process and requirements</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Provide building enclosure consulting, commissioning, and design and construction phase services for new building projects</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Provide building enclosure investigations and assessments for existing buildings, and provide remedial repair designs and construction phase services when requested</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Prepare proposals for potential new work</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Assisting in meeting profit center financial goals</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Prepare professionally written deliverables, including proposals, technical report, design reviews, etc</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Assist in hiring and training new building sciences team members and mentor existing team members</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Develop business and clients in the local area and assist with national, larger pursuits outside of the local area</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:6.0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Participation in professional organizations, author papers, attend conferences, and/or perform work on technical committees</li></ul><p>This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details.
