    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Broadcast Master Control Operator</strong></p><p style=\"line-height:normal;\">WPBF, the ABC affiliate in Palm Beach Gardens is looking for a Master Control Operator who will oversee the equipment that provides the content of our broadcast on-air program streams. You will monitor multiple air channels, preparing content, building playlists, maintaining regulatory compliance, assuring quality control of on-air product, and documenting transmission events. You will ingest commercials and programs, timing them and making sure they all play on air properly.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height:normal;\"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Coordinate live and recorded programming for broadcast</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Maintain on air operation to include running commercials, network and local programming</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Monitor multiple channels to ensure regulatory compliance and signal integrity</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Operate broadcast automation equipment</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Follow FCC monitoring and EAS procedures</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Observe transmitters and take readings</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Maintain program and transmitter logs</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Edit and append playlists</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Acquire content from distributors and content delivery systems</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Report equipment issues and transmission discrepancies</li></ul><p style=\"line-height:normal;\"><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">1+ years of computer, email, software and web applications</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Prior exposure to television station operations and newscast production</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Work in a collaborative environment and independently</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Experience with master control activities and tasks preferred; training will be offered for qualified candidates</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Knowledge of graphics systems for on-air branding and messaging</li><li style=\"line-height:normal;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Higher education in technology, SBE or related military experience will be considered</li></ul><p style=\"line-height:normal;\"><strong>Values in Action</strong></p><p style=\"line-height:normal;\">At Hearst Television we tell stories every day.
