This person must be a strong, safety-oriented individual who will collaborate with the Operations team to ensure a work environment that is focused on accident prevention and risk mitigation/management. Our passion is building.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor safety efforts of subcontractors and Brinkmann employees</li>\n <li>Discuss safety with the on-site Subcontractors Supervisory Personnel</li>\n <li>Coordinate with Project Supervision so that necessary personal protective equipment and safety materials are utilized</li>\n <li>Record and forward copies of all safety related meetings, programs, safety pre-plans, inspections, correspondence, directives, citations, etc. to the Safety Director for tracking</li>\n <li>Coordinate responses and compliance with requirements of inspection reports from Brinkmann’s insurance company</li>\n <li>Conduct documented Project Safety and Health Inspections</li>\n <li>Investigate all injuries and review all accident reports, coordinating corrective measures with Brinkmann employees or Subcontractor Personnel</li>\n <li>Keep current all required safety documents and literature</li>\n <li>Monitor protection of public by minimizing construction hazards</li>\n <li>Monitor maintenance of adequate first aid supplies</li>\n <li>Maintain OSHA 300 log of injuries and illnesses</li>\n <li>Implement Brinkmann safety policies, procedures, and programs</li>\n <li>Work directly with the Safety Manager, project managers, and superintendents to ensure safety is built into every project</li>\n <li>Coordinate compliance with Brinkmann’s Storm Water Pollution and Prevention Plans</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in related field preferred</li>\n <li>Experience managing the safety efforts on large construction projects preferred; prior field experience preferred</li>\n <li>Ability to manage/administer safety orientations, oversee substance abuse program, investigate/report on injuries/illnesses/near misses and other to perform other various safety functions on-site</li>\n <li>Ability to work with all construction groups: management, owners, trades and subcontractors</li>\n <li>Must have excellent communication, organizational, decision-making and problem-solving skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work is primarily performed outdoors in various weather conditions with exposure to health or safety hazards, including noise level ranging from moderate to loud.</li>\n <li>Physical effort is required, including the ability to walk the job site, climb ladders and scaffolding, lift loads up to 50 lbs., perform hands-on work when necessary.</li>\n <li>While performing the essential functions of this position, the individual will use hands to handle, control or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.</li>\n <li>Individual work location will change or vary and/or position may require travel.</li>\n <li>Environment will be demanding and fast paced; number of hours typically worked in a workweek</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Brinkmann Constructors, our passion for people means investing in their financial, mental, and physical well-being.
