Helps ensure the safety and well-being of all employees,</p><p>players, and spectators who may be participating within the program. The Sports</p><p>Attendant will always be approachable and dedicated to providing participants with</p><p>the most enjoyable experience possible. In addition, the Sports Attendant will</p><p>incorporate the values of honesty, respect, caring, faith and responsibility into the</p><p>daily functions of the YMCA.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><ol><li>Daily performs safety check of equipment</li><li>Sets up and breaks down equipment in a timely manner</li><li>Ensures that games begin and end at scheduled times</li><li>Assists Sports Director in Adult &amp; Youth Sports and Interactive Zone programs</li><li>Assists supervising officials and participants at game sites</li><li>Responds to injuries through administering first aid and proper reporting</li><li>Settling on-field and on-court rule protests and disputes</li><li>Monitors on and off-site activities and enforces rules and regulations</li><li>Obtains feedback from players &amp; spectators regarding their participation in the program</li><li>Ensures all areas of responsibility are clean and free of potential safety risks</li><li>Communicates YMCA policies, programs, and special events</li><li>Promotes the YMCA mission, vision, and character development</li><li>Actively participates in annual fund raising (We Build People) campaigns</li><li>Assists with coaches meetings, captains meeting, dinners, and other special events</li><li>Be physically present in the program.
